The KAYAK COVE. The KAYAK COVE was purchased in 2016 for its peaceful and tranquil setting. Its views overlook Herring Creek near Burtons Prong which is a tributary to the Rehoboth Bay.

THE COMMUNITY is in a quiet gated community of about 700 homes on the Delmarva Peninsula. Unlike a resort most of the homes within the community are privately owned, and many owners live there year around. It is governed by a board of directors who live within the community. The business office is located near the entrance gate.

POOL: The pool is not guaranteed to be open till the second weekend in June. As per ABTB website:

“The pool is open on weekends only from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend until full-time hours begin on or about the 12th of June each year.
The pool is open for everyone from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. Adults can only swim from 10:00 to 11:00 am, as well as the first 10 minutes of every hour throughout the day.”

This could be as late as June 15th.

ACCOMMODATIONS: SLEEPS 8. It has three bedrooms each with a queen bed. The living room has a privacy curtain for a make-your-own fourth bedroom. Sunroom has a single futon with a privacy curtain. There is a mini kitchen on the first floor with a larger main kitchen on the second floor.

I stayed here multiple times. I love the fact that there are kayaks there for our use. Make sure you paddle around in the bay with them.
