We are the Moore family—a household of five with three wonderful children, including our youngest who has special needs. We also open our hearts and home to foster children of various ages, which has added even more richness and purpose to our family life. Our home is full of life, shared with our middle-aged dog, a chubby cat, tropical fish, and goldfish that swim happily in a small backyard pond.

We love to entertain and cherish the joy that comes from welcoming others into our home. Both of us were raised in lively households where people were always coming and going—those bustling, joyful moments left a lasting impression and are among our favorite memories. We hope to offer our children the same experience of community and hospitality.

Early in our marriage, we were incredibly blessed by a kind Mennonite couple I had volunteered with at Ten Thousand Villages. They generously offered us their beautiful, log cabin-style home to live in for a year—at a very low cost—while they were away on a missions trip. It was a tremendous gift for us as newlyweds just starting out, and it made a deep impact on our lives.

Now, with hearts full of gratitude, we hope to extend that same spirit of generosity by opening our home to other believers. Whether they are in a season of transition, ministry, or simply in need of rest, we want to offer a place of peace, warmth, and welcome—just as it was once offered to us.
