The KAYAK COVE. The KAYAK COVE was purchased in 2016 for its peaceful and tranquil setting. Its views overlook Herring Creek near Burtons Prong which is a tributary to the Rehoboth Bay.

THE COMMUNITY is in a quiet gated community of about 700 homes on the Delmarva Peninsula. Unlike a resort most of the homes within the community are privately owned, and many owners live there year around. It is governed by a board of directors who live within the community. The business office is located near the entrance gate.

ACCOMMODATIONS: SLEEPS 8. It has three bedrooms each with a queen bed. The living room has a privacy curtain for a make-your-own fourth bedroom. Sunroom has a single futon with a privacy curtain. There are two bathrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, a laundry, a screened-in porch plus deck on second floor and an outdoor shower. There is a mini kitchen on the first floor with a larger main kitchen on the second floor.

PARKING:
There is a total of 3 parking spaces.

RECREATION ON COMMUNITY SITE:
It has a marina, crabbing pier, jogging, and walking paths, play areas, an outdoor pool with 6 free passes, tennis courts, bocce ball, and a community center.

OUR KAYAKS: there are 6 kayaks at the house for your careful use. Oars and some life jackets are in the double-doored storage area. Door keys are on a lanyard in the entrance foyer.

NEARBY TO DO: Take a Ferry ride to Cape May. Spend time at the shore. Cape Henlopen, Indian Beach, Towers Beach, and Bethany are somewhat less crowded beaches, but a little further in the distance. Key Box or Conquest Road between Dewey Beach and the Rt. 1 bridge. Hopkins Dairy Farm is a great place for ice cream on any day!

1 booster seat, serving spoons, serving dishes, 1 crock-pot, toaster, and 1 Pac-n-play.

CHECKLIST OF ITEMS YOU MAY WANT TO BRING:
Towels, personal hygiene items, paper towels, toilet paper, bed linens, washcloths, towels, soaps, laundry soaps, sun protection, bug spray, leftover containers, tea towels, dish clothes, bikes n rollerblades, lifejackets, crabbing clips, games, binoculars for bird watching, tennis racquets, and bocce ball. NOTE: There are usually life jackets there.
